Karma n. 2

Karma n. 2 is a video work by Antonello Matarazzo, part of the Double Karma series, featuring Anna Utopia Giordano as performer. A stream of water runs alongside the figure, becoming part of the work's suspended visual language. The work explores transformation and identity through a minimalist visual approach in which the human figure becomes the focus of an intimate dialogue between body, time and perception.

KARMA n.1 (earth) and KARMA n.2 (water) are part of the same installation project, Double Karma, concluded in December 2012. Karma n.1 was presented at the 54th Venice Biennale.

Bug

Bug is a video and photographic series by Antonello Matarazzo exploring the relationship between the human figure and insects. Presented in an installation format, the series brings together video works and a collection of 25 × 25 cm physical works in which insects are integrated into portraits, creating surreal encounters between the human and the non-human.

Anna Utopia Giordano participates in one of the video works as a performer and is also featured in one of the physical portraits.

Land In Eden

Land In Eden was a 2012 collaborative artistic and photographic project created in support of Edenlandia, the historic amusement park in Naples. Conceived by Anna Utopia Giordano, who served as creative director and model, the project brought together a team of artists and creatives to transform the park and its iconic attractions into the setting for a playful visual narrative. The project combined fashion, photography and video, featuring garments from the Enchanted Collection by Alessia Caliendo / LittleBlackDress, inspired by fairy-tale characters and memories of Edenlandia. The campaign was photographed by Elia Vaccaro and filmed by Luigi Russo. The resulting series was published as a full editorial in I'M Magazine.

Animă

Animă was a 2018 photographic and video project conceived by Anna Utopia Giordano and set in the Cimitero delle Fontanelle in Naples, one of the city's most evocative and mysterious historical sites. The shoot took place on 26 November 2018.

Inspired by the atmosphere, legends and cultural heritage of Naples, the project brought together fashion, photography and performance to explore the relationship between the human figure and this extraordinary place. Anna Utopia Giordano directed its artistic vision and performed as its model, working with photographer Elia Vaccaro and a small creative team. The resulting series was published as a full editorial in Elegant Magazine, issue 67, no. 4, February 2020.

Thanateros

Thanateros is a 2009–2010 collaborative visual and poetic project by Anna Utopia Giordano and photographer Luca Catellani, born from the encounter between Catellani's experimental photography and Giordano's Rapsodie, hermetic and cryptic poetic compositions. Combining photography, poetry and live performance, the project explores the tension between Eros and Thanatos through fragmented images, symbolic bodies and a visual language suspended between the organic and the inorganic, the sensual and the abstract, with performances developed with Andrea Ropes.
